FIRM PHILOSOPHY
Chapman Law Group LLC has been providing legal services to clients in Vail, Beaver Creek and other Colorado mountain resort communities since 1982. In this age of increased legal complexity and government regulation, we feel that even in the relatively small mountain towns of Colorado, the age of the general practitioner has passed. For this reason, we concentrate our efforts to those relatively few areas of law for which there is the greatest demand in the geographical areas in which we practice. These are real estate, business, real estate lending, and foreign investment law. Our goal is to efficiently provide a high level of legal service in these limited areas.
Although practicing law in mountain towns of Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone, and the other Colorado ski resorts, has many of the attributes of a “small town” practice, due to relatively small size of the local economies, it is a very sophisticated “small town” practice. Local clients often have relocated here from other areas in the U.S. or other countries and expect a high level of legal representation. Clients from outside of Colorado whether they be U.S. or foreign, are typically making substantial investments and they too possess a high level of business expertise and expect a level of legal representation not usually found in a “small town” practice.
If a client has legal needs outside our areas of expertise, we utilize the services of an attorney who has that expertise and in whom we have developed confidence over the years. These attorneys are what we call our “Group”. Hence, our law firm is named Chapman Law Group. A few of the practice areas in which we have members of our Group are complex estate planning for non US residents, civil litigation, labor law, dissolution of marriage, and criminal law. Like our law firm, the attorneys who comprise our Group are members of small firms whose practices are concentrated in their limited areas of expertise. Our clients prefer the Group approach since it allows them to receive help in whatever area they need while avoiding large and bureaucratic law firms.
